In addition we stock and have listed on our online store headboard brackets, premium bed frames, and unique mattresses designed to improve your sleep quality at a great price point. Because of this we have developed an excellent partnership with several of the top sellers of adjustable beds and mattresses as well as an developed an expertise at helping customers find replacements for damaged or lost remote controls. Shipping has been a challenge for many, and IMO the product is inferior - things like no felt padding on the slats, no cork padding on the legs, and no ability to remove (for cleaning) the pillowboard cover. We are a family-owned mattress company in Salt Lake City and have partnered with Serta, Beautyrest, Simmons, Reverie, Leggett and Platt, Richmat, Linak, and many other large companies for over 30 years. Some people are choosing to order, at a cheaper price, from a Thuma knockoff - the company is called Valyou Charm 2.0. (3) Your third option is to forget the Thuma and try to find something comparable. I think they will offer taller pillowboards in the not-too-distant future, but that is just my guess. Your options at this time are three: (1) go ahead and purchase now and do the workaround, which includes using their bolsters (which will soon be marketed), or (2) wait until such time that Thuma actually offers taller pillowboards as an option when ordering the bed frame. For most beds that will be positioned up against a wall, the pillowboard issues really come down to one - if your mattress is greater than 10" high, the pillowboard is not tall enough. ![]() I think the Thuma bedframe is so superior that any pillowboard issues are very minor. I am pretty sure that when I get the bolsters, I will leave the wood in place as it offers great support for the raised pillowboard. but I think it will be any day now.Ĭurrently, my workaround is a 3 ft section of a 2圆 piece of wood, positioned in the center so that the wood is not seen from either side. The Thuma bed is absolutely perfect! We love it so much that I immediately bought a second one for our guest room. Due to my wife's difficulties of getting in and out of our old bed, I was forced into looking for a lower height bed. ![]() I have found Thuma to be an extremely exceptional company with a top of the line product and I am really glad that I saw their ad in Facebook which has kept me from buying an inferior product. My comments really are directed to any new perspective buyers who may be lurking and may need clarification to help with their decision to buy or not to buy. They have kept me informed all along the way for which I am appreciative.ĭon't mind me, I am just rambling on this Monday morning. Last week, they notified me once again that they were "experiencing a delay with our logistics partners" (meaning Viet Nam suppliers) and so now we are back to mid-August for shipping to me. A few weeks ago, they informed me that they would ship early and I would get my nightstands around now (July 26). A couple of months ago, when I first ordered, I was told before ordering that delivery would be sometime in August. Right now, I am awaiting shipment and delivery of two of their nightstands. I - like most people - would prefer to speak to a live person, but their email response is acceptable. I have found that on business days they respond usually within a few hours, no longer than overnight. Re customer service - Thuma, like many online companies, has opted to handle all customer service requests via email. As for mattress not fitting the frame - all Thuma bed frames for each style (twin, full, queen, king, etc.) are exactly the same dimensions, and these dimensions are of course perfectly set designed, industry standard, for its corresponding mattress, so I put to you that if a customer complains that their mattress doesn't fit a Thuma frame - it is the mattress that is the problem. As for any creaking - you've got one now, and I am willing to bet that your bed is as quiet as a church mouse.
